Our heavenly Bennett Valley is sparkling more than ever after a very successful Fall Work Day. Starbucks volunteers joined neighbors on Summerfield Road spreading mulch which should help a lot in keeping down weeds. Those lovely floral median end caps (between Bethards and Santa Rosita) were pruned and weeded. Some Bethards’ corner properties (between Bennett Valley Road and Yulupa) were planted and should be lovely in spring. Much needed weeding tidied up the area nicely. Creekside Road Park’s street trees were pruned, overgrown vines were nipped back, and weeds were whacked. Alistair Blyfuss and his loyal wonderful scouts worked hard cleaning up the creek adjacent to Strawberry School. And big thank yous for coffee provided by Starbucks which fueled our volunteers.
