FALL CLEAN UP 2008!

Volunteers braved the threat of rain and came out to work on Saturday, Oct. 4th, at four sites. A group worked on finishing pruning and weeding along Summerfield Road. Our loyal cub scout pack showed up in force, along with other volunteers, to help Alistair Bleifuss in Arroyo Sierra creek and the Strawberry School park area.

We welcomed new Bennett Valley neighborhoods! Bethards area residents pulled weeds, pruned, spread mulch, picked up litter, and removed graffiti. NABV hosted their first work day weeding, digging out the area in front of the Hwy 12 corridor and mulching.

Special thanks to the Bennett Valley UPS store for printing our brochures, which helps us to spread the word. Many thanks for donations made to our debit accounts for the purchase of planting materials. The city of Santa Rosa supports Bennett Valley Vision and we are sincerely grateful.

Weather permitting, there will be a work day along Summerfield Road to spread mulch on Saturday, Oct. 25th.

Looking forward to seeing you and hearing your ideas for our spring work day at our first meeting of 2009 on February 4th.
